Emerson Process Management pioneered in radar technology for level gauging and is since 1976, the world leader in non-contact measuring.Emerson Process Management is a division of Emerson, an American corporation with 114,000 employees.Our division is constantly growing and our level products can be found on tankers, in refineries, tank terminals and the process industry all over the world.Our mechanical engineering group is divided into teams.Each team is focused on developing mechanical products for a certain application.To support the rapid expansion of our process radars with new options we need to strengthen the team with a new Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.In this position you will work in projects and assume responsibility for mechanical development.Our projects includes the entire chain of development activities from writing specifications, creating concepts, CAD, to testing and qualification of incoming material.Depending on the type and size of the project, you may work on your own or in a group - sometimes the group comprises members in different national and international locations.You can also at times manage outsourced assignments.Our products are subject to ambient conditions such as high/low temperature (-200°C-400°C), high pressure (<345 bar), vacuum, vibrations, and weather conditions including a corrosive atmosphere.. Aluminum, stainless steel (316 and other Ni-alloys), ceramics, and PTFE, are commonly used materials in our designs.To apply for this position you need to have a Masters, or Bachelor's degree combined with appropriate industry experience and a minimum of five years of industry experience in mechanical engineering or materials science.It is desirable that you have experience from the process industry and related applications.You need to have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking ownership of projects with minimal supervision.You are used to and enjoy working in a team environment.You have excellent oral and written communication skills, both in Swedish and English.You are welcome to apply for this position at our website, www.tankradar.com, no later than March 1st.
