Södertörns högskola (Södertörn University College) was founded in 1996 and currently has 12 000 students and 750 employees, of which two thirds are academic staff.There is an additional site in Haninge.We conduct undergraduate and postgraduate education, and research in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Technology and Life Sciences.We cooperate closely with the Royal Institute of Technology, Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital who share the campus in Flemingsberg.We are now inviting applications for the post of: 1 postdoctoral position in Political Science, International Relations or Peace and Conflict Research Centre for Baltic and East European Studies (CBEES) Ref.No.dnr 472/22/2008 The Centre for Baltic and East European Studies (CBEES) coordinates research and doctoral studies focusing on the Baltic Sea Region and Eastern Europe, one of Södertörn University College's most important research areas.The working languages at CBEES are Swedish and English, and there are three prioritised research themes: .Knowledge and Sustainability: a multidisciplinary theme, extensive in scope including knowledge production, the environment and health..Cultural Theory: Kosmopolis, Cultural Technologies and Cultural Public Spheres: a research theme focusing on questions about media and identity, citizenship and exile; the relationship between technology and culture; and questions about cultural value and the cultural canon..Society and the Political: political and social tensions in periods of social change.
