The Faculty of Medicine is a part of Lund University, and is responsible for education and research within medicine and healthcare. Our academic programmes are closely linked with the healthcare system and are firmly anchored in the faculty’s strong research tradition. Our research spans a broad field within experimental preclinical research, near-patient clinical research and health sciences research. Work description: Work duties are a) assisting or performing surgery of experimental animals in connection with pharmacological experiments, b) preparing pharmacological experiments, including determining and calculating appropriate doses, c) histological work, such as identification of recording and injection sites after experiments, d) setting up and performing behavioral experiments with intact models of rabbits.
Qualifications: Required qualifications are a) experience of small animal surgery b) experience of histological techniques, especially for labeling monoamine systems, c) knowledge of cerebellar anatomy and function, d) knowledge of monoamine pharmacology. Required qualifications are also knowledge of neuroscience and behavioral science at the MSc level, including the basics of animal learning and experience of rabbit models of behavior research.
