We are now looking for 2 Senior Renewals Specialists, one within Trademark and one within Patents, to our Renewals team located at AWA's headquarters in central Malmö.

About the position?

As Senior Renewals Specialist your main focus will be management and coordination of renewals and changes in the clients' patent and/or trademark portfolios. The role brings a truly international perspective, as you will be in contact with our +3500 customers around the world. There are good opportunities to influence both working methods and own role, all to create more customer value. As Trademark Renewal Specialist, you will be part of a large client-team together with consultants and paralegals. In your role, you provide independent advice on renewals, affidavits of use and recordals in close contact with the clients..

Your tasks will primarily involve:


• Contact and correspondence with customers, authorities worldwide and internal staff in all of AWA's companies internationally
• Management of patent and/or trademark renewals, including reviewing and processing all incoming correspondence from authorities and attorney partners such as rescheduling/updating deadlines, monitoring and analyzing upcoming deadlines, reminding and using Affidavits of Use and report generation.
• Price estimates and invoicing
• Handling of cases via digital customer portal
• Present our customer portal to our customers
• Other administrative tasks linked to the renewal process
• Support and help other colleagues within the team

The position is based at our head office in Malmö, centrally located near the railway station. The department consists of 20 people divided into two teams, one within trademark and one within patents. You will be part of a positive and collaborative team, characterized by high competence , with great desire to develop. You are offered independent working closely with our customers with tasks where you have responsibility from start to finish. The desired appointment is as soon as possible (considering any notice period).

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who have at least 3-4 years of experience in intellectual property law, either from industry or the agency world. You should have a university degree, perhaps with additional training as a Paralegal. As we are an international company, it is also important that you are fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.

To be successful in the role, it is required that you are detail-oriented, are responsible and driven to deliver top-class customer care! We would like you to have a thorough understanding of foreign patents and/or trademarks in foreign jurisdictions. You have good organizational and prioritization skills, proven ability to handle multiple complex tasks and meeting deadlines. We work closely across departments, areas and countries, therefore collaboration is a key asset. In addition to this, you see accuracy as a matter of course and have a high level of integrity as you will handle information that requires confidentiality. In addition, you are also a person who understands the value of commitment, togetherness and who is close to laughing together with your colleagues!
