Arbetsbeskrivning
We are looking for two water-interested communication professionals for 12 months special fixed-term employment, with a good possibility of extension or a permanent position.
Help us communicate to the world that we must collectively focus intensely on global water issues to being able to build a better and more sustainable future for ourselves and the generations to come. Stockholm International Water Institute, SIWI, is a non-profit foundation that works as an advisor to governments, regions, cities, and companies on how to seize the opportunities with better water governance.
Communication is at the heart of this effort, and we are now looking to expand our strong communications team with two new project communicators. Together we are responsible for the strategic and daily management of SIWI’s messaging and outreach. We work with central communication to the global community and with specialized communication for the organization’s projects, through a wide range of channels and formats.
The communications team currently consists of 9 creative individuals, with backgrounds in design, marketing, web management, branding, journalism, and photography. There are four nationalities in the team, and some 25 in the entire organization. The working language is English.
SIWI works with a range of international projects and programmes together with partners such as Sida (The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency), other European governments, and several UN agencies. Communication needs are managed by our production manager and tasks are shared within the team, in close collaboration and often by creating sub-teams for focused work on certain projects.
We are open to allowing some remote work. The current general guideline is 2-3 days per week in the office in central Stockholm.
With two new project communication managers we hope to bring additional skills and capacity to the team. The work can include preparing and supporting web-based events, workshops, and trainings, with invitations, outreach, and follow-up.
We will want to see your portfolio of independently carried out work, with text and design samples. The recruitment process will also include some tests of relevant competencies.
Our hope is that you can start within a month of contract signing.
