2021 Summer Internship - Nasdaq Real Time Clearing Intern


The Nasdaq Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants of our Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will get a chance to work on a project along with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and present your project towards the end of the program. You will also participate in learning and development sessions with diverse topics to help you grow and succeed as you establish your career.


Our Team
Are you interested in working with challenges in the domain of cloud technologies where interoperability and data consistency between processes are key? Our system strives to have a 99.999% uptime 365/7/24 and all transactions must be traceable and re-playable. You will be part of customizing our clearing product to fit our customer's requirement whilst keeping consistency between the products and the tailor made product to allow for future product updates.


Your Role
You will work with the team on isolated and well-defined tasks or a small project to further enhance the capabilities of a code delivery. The tasks revolves around software engineering or quality assurance.


The Ideal Candidate
Is working on completing a degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science (graduating by 2022)
Has strong background in general science and technology areas
Has at least one programming language course from the university


Project Overview
The project delivers a tailor made product according to a customer's requirement in the clearing domain in the financial market. The clearing product exists in the post trade market and keeps track of the user's portfolio. The system calculates risk exposure and alerts both the user and the clearing house (i.e. the purchaser of the clearing system) should there be a risk alert. The system provides user with portfolio management, real time market data (prices, yield curves etcetera) and other important pieces vital to the customer.
