2021 Summer Internship - Strategic Programs Intern


The Nasdaq Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants of our Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will get a chance to work on a project along with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and present your project towards the end of the program. You will also participate in learning and development sessions with diverse topics to help you grow and succeed as you establish your career.


Our Team


Product Engineering Strategic Programs works with various cross-org improvement initiatives. Specifically, much of it is put under the "New Horizon" program which is our journey in bringing our Enterprise Solution product and delivery teams to our "Target State". The team has a few project managers working with various projects within the program.


Your Role


The intern will be allocated to support one of the improvement projects in New Horizon, exact task depends on state of projects at time of joining and skillset the intern brings to the table, generally to provide work around analysis for current status, creation and consolidation of improvement proposals and creating / executing on improvement plans.


The Ideal Candidate


Is working on completing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Information Technology (graduating by 2022)
Has knowledge of project management and project management/information management tools (e.g. MS Project, Confluence)
Has knowledge of development management tools (e.g. JIRA)
Has good analytical and statistical skills
Has good communication skills, verbal and oral


Project Overview


Exact project will depend on running project within the initiative at the time. Sample for improvement projects are creating best practice for incident management, improving development sprints in product teams, creating data-driven reporting for project progress, etc.
