2022 Summer Internship - Project Office Intern (European Markets Operations)

Interning at Nasdaq
The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with an outstanding opportunity to experience a relevant and immersive 10 week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning development opportunities and meet with senior leaders. This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August 2022.
The Team
Nasdaq Stockholm is currently looking for an intern to join our European Markets Operations Project Office team in Stockholm. European Markets Operations supports our leading Nordic and Baltic exchanges and our clearinghouse. The Project Office is responsible to manage significant changes to our systems, operations and compliance requirements, using established project management methodologies.
Your Role
The intern in the Project Office will participate in the projects and activities of the team, for example:
Assisting project managers in managing their projects, utilizing resources and coordinating effectively with stakeholders and colleagues.
Applying project management methodologies in daily work functions.
Participate in the Project Offices continuous updates of our frameworks.
Learning how to ensuring that projects meet their obligations regarding requirements, specifications, quality, costs, timeframes and communication.
Who we are looking for:
Passionate individual looking to start their career in European Markets and Project Management
Completing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Information Technology or related field with an anticipated graduation date after December 2022 until summer of 2023
Has experience or knowledge of project management methodologies
Has leadership skills and ability to communicate in a collaborative manner
Has passion or great interest in managing change in technology and finance
What would be helpful:
A self-starter with evidence of intellectual curiosity
A critical thinker who exhibits entrepreneurism and problem solving abilities
Energized by a heavy workload and tight deadlines
Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Sample Project:
Projects managed by our team include operational implementation of changes to our trading systems, clearing systems, user interfaces, new product launches and compliance changes.
