Interning at Nasdaq


The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with an outstanding opportunity to experience a relevant and immersive 10 week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning development opportunities and meet with senior leaders. This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August 2022.


The Team


In the System Integration & Performance team, we are a group of highly motivated engineers who work with complex projects - both internal and external, with the aim to deliver high quality and stable software to the clients.


Your Role


As a summer student worker, you will be working with one of our pipeline projects, to improve internal processes and make things more efficient for several teams. As part of your job, you are expected to be able to setup your project, plan and complete the work youre doing related to software development.


Who we are looking for:


Passionate individual looking to start their career in technology


Completing Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with an anticipated graduation date after December 2022 until summer of 2023


Intermediate skills to write code in Java and Javascript


It would be good to have some scripting skills in Shell or Python


It would also help to have RHEL skills e.g. Linux


What would be helpful:


A self-starter with evidence of intellectual curiosity


A critical thinker who exhibits problem solving abilities


Energized by a heavy workload and tight deadlines


Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally


Sample Projects:


Backend and frontend development for one of our internal projects with the aim to deploy these to more teams within Nasdaq. Your work will be impactful, and it will be visible to more than one team.
