Our Outstanding Opportunity
We are part of PDU (Product Development Unit) Baseband Software, and we drive 5G NR (New Radio) end-to-end baseband software product development, relying on the competence and capability of our people to tackle full feature responsibility i.e. enabling the implementation and verification of full feature requirements. Based in Stockholm, we are proud to own the New Radio Multi Standard Radio Base Station (NR MSRBS) baseband products and to be responsible for all product development planning and maintenance.
We work in an international environment together with colleagues in different parts of the world - Ottawa, Beijing, Lund and some more.
We are looking for C-programmers with a passion for SW craftmanship to join our 5G SW development in PDU baseband!
The baseband SW implements the layer 2 protocol layers of the Ericsson Radio Access Network (RAN) product family.
The SW is deployed on Ericsson baseband and radio boards where the baseband SW interacts with layer 1 & 3 SW, Radio modules and O&M.
You will
Be joining the baseband capacity department and work with the NR Uplink capacity (UPC UL).
Develop new features for the 5G RAN participating in all design phases from early studies and design to receiving feedback on the functionality from our customer CD-zones and live network.
Work with UPC UL SW architecture changes to prepare for the capacity feature roadmap.
Contribute to improving quality of the capacity SW.
Develop design test cases to verify and protect the capacity functionality.
To be successful in the role you have
PhD/MSc/BSc level in a technical subject area or the equivalent level of knowledge
Software development experience with relevant programming skills in C/C++.
High curiosity about SW craftsmanship.
Crafting & innovating
Applying expertise & technology
Analytical learning and researching skills
Delivering results & meeting customer expectations
You will need excellent planning and organizing skills
Additional Requirements
Knowledge in 5G and LTE (4G) standards (3GPP) is a plus
Knowledge of 3GPP standards L1 & L2 is a plus
Multi Core processor programming knowledge is a plus
Signal processing Knowledge is a plus
Design experience from GSM, WCDMA and or LTE is beneficial
General programming skills is an advantage, e.g. Python, Matlab
Knowledge of Agile methodology is a plus
