5G NR is the future generation of wireless technology.
At PDU Baseband in Kista we are responsible to systemize, design, implement and integrate software features to control the air interface in the 5G Radio Access Network.
In the design department we are strengthening our capability to troubleshoot issues on Radio Access Network, RAN, level.
We are extending our competence team that analyze and troubleshoot base band problems with a wide approach, considering radio conditions, configurations feature combinations and much more. To manage the complexity of the 5G RAN, the troubleshooting team is on an automation journey and moving into the area of data analytics and machine learning. This will be an important part of our work in the time to come.
As our 5G Baseband Troubleshooter you will be responsible for:
Doing up-front analysis of baseband TRs (Trouble Reports)
Troubleshooting Ericsson RAN to establish if a product issue can be suspected
Reproducing problems in lab
Narrowing down TR to a particular software domain for TR to be assigned and preparing all needed data for design teams
Minimizing slip through of duplicates, already delivered corrections, and no action (D-code) TRs
Analyzing suspected BB faults before TRs are written (Jira tickets and mails to baseband front desk)
Participating in task forces, taking technical lead on customer high priority TRs and high priority internal KPI TRs.
Acting as thought leader in baseband troubleshooting technology
Compiling and presenting trends and experience in the troubleshooting area
Documenting and spread knowledge of troubleshooting tools and methods
Actively contributing to reduce the overall number of customers TRs and reduce the Time to Find a Fault
Cooperating with tech leaders such as RAN System, baseband quality assurance community and other stakeholders to improve serviceability
To be successful in the role you must have
Experience in troubleshooting in customer networks
Knowledge in 5G and LTE(4G) standards
Knowledge in Automation, Data Analytics, Machine Learning and AI techniques.
System or design experience from 5G and LTE.
Knowledge of configuration management
Knowledge of troubleshooting and analysis methods and tools
