5G Core Solution - System Manager

About this opportunity
Solutions is a new unit in Solution Area Packet Core established to strengthen a network wide focus having accountability for the 5G Core System evolution. We will drive technology evolution plans, define network capabilities and Target Solutions with objective to simplify global deployments of 5G systems for mobile broadband, enterprise and critically important services. Through our mission we contribute to Ericsson having the most competitive 5G Core system offering on the market.

We are now searching for an energizing and empathic colleague to our team of system designers.


What you will do
Perform studies and investigations covering deployment, networking, characteristics, capacity, and other technical areas covering new features and solutions.
Drive automation of installation&integration of containerized business logic on different cloud platforms.
Define Solution Designs from input such as studies, markets and Business Management Teams.
Support Customer Units. E.g. have technical dialogue with CUs to understand customer requirements and customer feedback.
Identifying and driving improvements in our solutions, products and ways of working.



You will bring
Cloud Native and Virtualization competence (e.g. Kubernetes, Openstack)
Experience from Service Integration of cloud native SW
Cloud native SW orchestration and management experience
Competence in Data Center technologies such as Linux and networking (routing & switching).
Experience from working with characteristics and non-functional requirements of SW
System Security competence
