Our Outstanding Opportunity
We are now looking for Experienced System Designers for 5G RAN.
Predicting the future is fun. Inventing it is powerful. We do both!
Ericsson is the leader in bringing 5G to the market globally. We are growing our investments to support 5G deployments across the globe and as part of this we are looking for a System Developer that will join our 5G RAN Baseband System Management team in Lund Sweden.
Our main task is to specify the wanted behavior of the 5G radio networks that will be used for many years to come. We develop and use simulators to improve signal processing algorithms, but we also analyze performance data from our customers’ networks.
We engage with customers and partners to understand technology potential, business needs and market opportunities. Global standards are important to us to grow markets and reduce cost for society.
You will be part of a team that describe how new features should work and then support the design teams during the development until the solutions are ready to be released.
Important technical areas are wireless systems, data/IP communication protocols, radio resource management, beamforming, cloud computing, and machine learning.
Baseband System Management is a global organization with teams based in Sweden, Canada, USA, Poland, and China. This position is based in Lund, Sweden.
Your profile
We believe that you have MSc or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics or the equivalent level of knowledge.
3-5 years of work experience in a relevant area
An analytical approach with an interest in creativity and innovation
An interest to learn and grow your skills continuously being a part of our team
Dedication, self-drive and a strong interest in cooperating with others
Good knowledge of 5G NR, 4G LTE mobile communication systems and/or other IP based wireless technologies
Product development knowledge preferably with an understanding of Lean and Agile methods
Software development skills to strengthen product understanding and give an ability to use and develop simulators
Excellent in communicating in verbal and written English building positive relationships internally as well as externally
