Product Development Unit Baseband SW (PDU BB) is part of Development Unit Networks and responsible for driving baseband software product development end to end by having competence and capability to take on full feature responsibility. This includes product ownership of the LTE and NR RBS baseband products as well as responsibility for development plans and securing maintenance of the products.
PDU BB is located mainly on different sites in Sweden, Canada, China and US. This position is placed at the Stockholm Kista site and reports to the Line Manager of the unit.
More details about the position
As an experienced Verification Engineer and Integrator, you will work in a team that has the responsibility for developing 5G and to a lesser extent 4G baseband software products. The focus area will be L1 and L2 development. That means testing and integrating advanced signal-processing functions and algorithms in a cycle and memory constrained real-time environment. The test environment is both simulated and true e2e including Core Network, Radio Access nodes and real or simulated mobile phones.
In your daily work, you will be sharing your time with other developers, both experienced and relatively new. You will be inventing, systemizing, developing, testing, integrating and solving problems with the product. Learning, sharing and collaborating will be part of your role as well.
You will be writing inventive, high quality, clean, optimized test code for use in your automated verification and for delivery to the automated continuous integration machinery. You will be writing Tests specifications to secure the quality of your deliveries.

In short, you will
Develop (integrate and test) 4G & 5G baseband architecture, functionality and features in an end-to-end as well as in a partly simulated environment
Write inventive, high quality, clean, optimized test code
Maintain and improve the quality of L1 and L2 part of the Baseband product by securing legacy coverage in test loops
Perform trouble shooting and customer support
Drive continuous improvements of products, environments and processes
Make sure that the right test environment is available in time
Drive Test analysis for the feature/Solution Packages according to our Test Strategy
To be successful in the role you must have
5+ years of software test/integration experience
BSc level (MSc preferred) in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge
Programming/scripting skills (Java, Python, Erlang)
3GPP and IEEE specifications experience
Experience with test, integration and troubleshooting tools like UE simulators and protocol analyzers
Multi-core processor understanding
Real time embedded systems knowledge
