Property driven product development starts and ends with our customers. This means that we have to understand the future needs of our customers and define targets for our performance properties accordingly.

The research and development efforts at Scania shall be driven by the decided ambition levels for each product property and application. Property analysis of the applications are carried out in order to identify if we match these ambitions today and in the future. When gaps are found we need to take action to close them in order to reach the desired competitiveness.

Our groups mission, Benchmarking & Property Objectives, within Technical Product Planning - is to identify and track Scanias present and future product properties, compared to Scania references and our competitors. This is conducted through our team and responsibilities within Benchmarking, Press testing and the subjective evaluations from Acceptance evaluation tests (AET). 

Role and responsibilities

An AET is mainly executed on complete vehicle level for development projects where the customer can experience a subjective impact. The aim of AET is to give an indication of how the future product would be perceived by a real customer and how it might stand compared to relevant competitors. AET is based on a subjective evaluation and graded with the Scania 10-scale by Scanias Reference Group & R&D Management. You will together with colleagues within R&D be involved in deciding vehicle references, test scenarios and setup for best possible test evaluation. 

In this role, you will also coordinate the property objectives for all projects together with the property managers and later on evaluate and track some of these targets and ambitions through AET while understanding and keeping track of the properties affecting customer profitability. 

The role requires high flexibility and a cross-functional work with internal customers like the project office, product- and vehicle property owners as well as development groups. You will have a central role within product development and will help us secure that we will fulfil the customer expectations. 

Your main tasks will be: 


• Lead, plan and develop Acceptance evaluation tests and the Scania Reference Group
• Coordinate and track property targets from idea to production together with the property owners and technical product planning

The role gives a nice variation of work with a mixture of leadership, coordination and testing. 

Your profile and skillset

You are outgoing with leadership skills, driven and result-oriented with a great personal commitment. As a person you are curious and open minded, you love challenges and are determined to succeed. You have high level of flexibility and emotional stability and are able to handle unforeseen events in professional way. You have great technical interest and good complete vehicle knowledge. Experience and understanding of Scanias Product Properties is commendable. Driver license C is necessary - CE and driving experience is beneficial.

You will present results of your work at various sections, department and technical meetings, you should be comfortable giving presentations in both English and Swedish.
