We are looking for a R&D Project Manager to lead product development projects at ABB Robotics in Västerås, Sweden, with main focus on manipulator (robot arm) development. In this role you will be executing the next generation modularized robot platform with a plan to launch several configurations annually in the coming years. Being part of a project management team within mechanical development, you'll be managing projects within the platform and delivering results that meet the project's targets in quality, performance, cost and time. Your focus will be to lead, inspire and support the senior and experienced cross-functional team to achieve the project goals. With the production and test labs in the same location, we have great opportunities to collaborate closely with these functions and see the physical product become real throughout the projects.

Your responsibilities
Lead cross-functional project teams
Clarify project scope with stakeholders and teams
Set up and manage project time schedules and economy
Continuously manage project risks
Secure functional and timely delivery of the project scope
Ensure the quality of the project deliverables

Your background
A Master’s degree within a related field, e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
Minimum of 2 years' Project Management experience within product development
Fluency in English, written and spoken alike. Swedish skills are beneficial
Used to work in a structured way and make quick decisions
A strong drive and motivation to learn and develop new skills
