Academic Coordinator (Cover role for the 2023-24 Academic Year)
International English School has made a big difference for our students for almost 30 years. International English School i Täby has operated since 2006, becoming one of the highest performing Grundskolan in Sweden. At IEST, we are convinced that, thanks to our clear ethos with committed staff and present school leaders, our school has succeeded. We enjoy an environment at IEST where everyone works towards common goals: students are at the centre of everything we do and all students are your students. IES Täby is a school for grades 4-9 with approx. 1300 students and 119 employees. We are a bilingual school that follows the Swedish curriculum. The school is located in Näsby Park, in North-Eastern Stockholm, a short walk from Täby Centrum, bus, Roslagsbanan train stations and the E18 Motorway. Working in our school means being part of a professional community and collaboration. With us, you get the opportunity to work internationally but at home, here in Sweden.

You will support teachers in the quality of education by analyzing academic data like grades and national tests, working together with the Academic Leadership Team, the Pastoral Leadership Team & Heads of Departments and being a visible leader around the school. As part of the school leadership team, you support the systematic quality work and the long time planning of the whole organization 4-9, although you will focus on years 7-9 in this academic year.
You will work closely with the Principal, the Assistant Principal (Academic), Assistant Principals (Pastoral 4-6, 7-9).
You will lead school development with the help of clear targets that we set together with our teams. At IES Täby, we believe in the strength of teams. We have a middle management team that supports our teachers and students, and ensures communication and feedback are present in the school, and that all team members feel a part of the IES vision and mission.
