Academic Tutor at SSHL

SSHL offers a wide range of national Swedish programmes (grundskola, gymnasium), as well as the IB MYP and Diploma programmes.

SSHL is now seeking applications for Academic Tutors (85% - full-time)

Academic tutors will work in the school's boarding homes during afternoons and evenings. Contract for 2014 ? 2015 with the possibility of long term extension.

Academic tutors will:
be the main academic contact in the boarding homes, giving students clear and focused academic support.
support students with their studies and homework
have close contact with students' parents
foster and maintain a supportive group dynamic and psycho-social environment
be responsive for student development

Requirements:
Qualified teacher status or similar, outstanding communications skills, as well as the ability to work in both Swedish and English; experience working with young people.
