- Single particle dynamics studies for possible magnet lattices in a future upgrade of the MAX IV 3 GeV ring.

- Experimental studies and operation of the two storage rings at MAX IV Laboratory.
- Theoretical and experimental work on linear and non-linear dynamics aimed at understanding the underlying physics and pushing the performance of the two MAX IV rings to best possible level.
- Implementation and diagnose of linear and non-linear lattice corrections related to insertion devices.
- Supervision of student work

Qualifications
The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications:

- PhD in accelerator physics or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in theoretical modelling and experimental studies of particle beam dynamics in electron storage rings
- Ability to work both independently, and to work in collaboration with engineering, operation and physics experts
- Very good skills in English, both oral and written
