On behalf of our client, we are on the hunt for an account executive working out of Sweden.
The Account Executive is the most crucial role regarding our sales pipeline. Although managing sales pipeline is a joint effort between marketing, sales and professional services, Account Executive has the biggest responsibility when turning the cold leads into recurring revenue deals. Account Executive has the capabilities and know-how of versatile account development, where understanding of client’s business requirements is a vital factor when driving success. Account Executive is a fluent influencer within the relevant functions of our customer’s organizations, with well-structured ways of leading the sales funnel.
About the client
Our client offers retail analytics for the FMCG industry - retailers and brands. It provides retail planning and category analytics solutions that empower companies to increase their market share and shopper loyalty, develop their product categories, and improve their assortments, promotions and product launches. Our client is a trusted partner for over 100 customers across Europe, with Nordics as the focal market.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Account Executive (later AE) is responsible for turning own lead quota into paying customers with recurring revenue deals
- AE follows the pipeline according to the sales playbook; engaging with customer, managing the customer through the pipeline and closing the deal. Engagement starts from recognizing a potential deal and ends formally when closing the deal. However, AE will remain within the customer loop also once the service onboarding starts.
- Customer interaction includes all types of sales and account management methods, i.e. cold and warm sales calls, contacting in written format (email, InMail etc.), taking part in customer events, etc.
- AE is responsible for independently being up to date with relevant information regarding own clients, e.g. new positions filled by the customer, business m&a’s or new product lines
- AE reports to sales lead according to the agreed frequency and format
- AE is responsible for making sure our CRM is up to date and that all relevant information is being filled in
- AE exchanges information efficiently within our organizations
- AE channels customer feedback to product development
- For own part, AE is responsible for maintaining a positive organizational culture and a respecting working environment
Required skills and traits:
- Sales skill set on an elevated level, e.g.:
- People skills
- Skills in written and oral communication as well as in negotiation
- Presentation skills
- Social selling
- Influence skills (also toward C-level customer personnel)
- Ability to use different communication channels and technologies efficiently
- Over 5 years of relevant and successful sales experience (strategic solution or SaaS selling, preferably with high annual recurring revenue deals size)
- Understanding of FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) business from the brand or vendor perspective. Prior involvement in Trade Promotion operations is a big plus.
- Result-oriented, but patient - our sales cycles are several months
- Perceptive and analytical - can draw a holistic picture from several details
