You will be part of Grid Automation Products in Västerås, the global center for protection and control within the power transmission area. We have approximately 200 employees who develop, manufacture and market products as well as offer comprehensive support and services to power customers worldwide. We work in close collaboration with Hitachi Energy units in 80 countries and 95 % of the sales are exported. Hitachi Energy is the world leader within protection and control with several groundbreaking technological innovations, which through quick fault detection has improved the availability and efficiency of power transmission networks.
In this role you will develop, implement, and manage the Grid Automation – Automation & Communication Product account, focused on growth, profitability, partnership, value creation, customer experience and satisfaction. Your responsibilities
Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotes for Products tenders, frame agreements and/or Service contracts in collaboration with Area Sales Managers/Key Account Managers to achieve both market competitiveness, customer satisfaction and profitability for Hitachi Energy
Manage the preparation of full cost calculation, cash flow analysis, and Forecasting, and manage opportunities pipeline
Support the customer in technical and commercial requests in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, and high quality
Coordinate customer activities at the factory such as FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests), network simulations, audits, homologation together with other functions as requested by ASM/KAM
Establish and maintain effective customer relationship to understand the key business drives of the relevant customer´s business and business environment and interpret the impact and opportunity for Hitachi Energy
Review and approve the price and margin of quotations. Carry problem solving ability on daily customer queries and streamline customer processes
Define and propose sales targets for the assigned accounts and ensure their achievement with a structured follow up process across business units and Countries
Create an added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy by ensuring a coordinated sales approach
Your background
Relevant experience in sales and/or account management preferably within electric utility sector
Degrees in Engineering, Project Management, Sales and/or Marketing are preferred. However, other disciplines will be considered with proven relevant account management aptitude
Sound knowledge in Protection & Control products & Substation Automation Systems is preferable but not mandatory
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills both verbal and written, also great negotiation and influencing skills
Business acumen with problem-solving attitude and focus on strong customer relationship
Flexibility and interest in working within an international team
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
