Job purpose
Account managers shall be mainly responsible for generation of After Sales Business, proactive approach to sales opportunities on existing and lost accounts. Be aware of contractual conditions and support with difficult commercial customer requests and issues.
Key accountabilities
Key contact person of clients for commercial/contractual issues for a defined customer portfolio
Forward Safety Alerts and various monthly reports to customers
Calculate and negotiate potential Bonus/Liquidated Damages
Calculate potential variable fees
Provide consultation to the clients on the scope of services offered by the company
Responsible for After Sales activities (e.g. proactive approach for Repair/Modification offers and maintenance offers, including following-up offers, negotiating and closing the offer)
Organize frequent and special customer meeting
Negotiate renewals of service agreements of existing wind farms
Prepare the relevant Gate approval for the renewals
Build up, develop and maintain long-term client relationship
Ensure customer satisfaction
Manage client complaints to prevent potential contractual problems
Manage potential minor warranty and end of contracts claims of customer and support Customer Manager regarding any major customer claim (e.g. warranty, end of contracts, etc.)
Reactivate lost accounts
Responsible for After Sales order intake and revenues of the service area
Responsible and dealing with overdue payments
Cooperation and manage interface to other operative functions (LOMs, Back-office)
Regular travel within his/her responsible market and abroad is part of the job
Support Local Operations Manager (LOM)/Head of Service with operational customer complaints
Knowledge Transfer of Maintenance Service Agreement-contractual scope to the operational function (LOM, Head of Service, etc.)
Manage CRM Database
Support main component planer regarding main component demand non-contractual customers
Support the Customer Manager regarding the After Sales Reporting
Career / Job experience
At least 3 years experience in a technical sales position
Knowledge in the renewable energy sector
Experienced in dealing with internal and external customers
Experienced in the tender process
Education and qualification
minimum Bachelor degree (e.g. Business administration or technical degree) or equivalent job experience
Excellent English language skills, additional language skills would be advantageous
Computer literate, able to use MS Office, SAP and in house database and workload management systems
