The position involves being a key member of the company's finance and accounting team. The primary responsibility is to ensure that the company's financial transactions and accounting are managed accurately and in compliance with relevant accounting principles and laws. It's a 6-month probationary employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting and Bookkeeping:
Perform daily accounting activities, including recording invoices, transactions, and expenses.
Ensure that all financial entries are meticulously documented and recorded.

Monthly Reconciliations:
Prepare monthly reconciliations and ensure that all balances are accurate, and discrepancies are addressed properly.
Assist in preparing the annual financial statements.

Tax Calculation and Reporting:
Assist with calculating and reporting taxes, including VAT and corporate tax.
Ensure compliance with tax authorities' requirements and reporting deadlines.

Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present financial reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.

Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting and finance department.
Participate in the implementation of efficiency enhancements.

Collaboration and Support:
Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as procurement and sales, to resolve financial issues and challenges.
Provide support and respond to inquiries from colleagues regarding financial transactions.

TASKS
Provide support in the daily operations of the finance department across the business.
Handle and follow up on internal and external inquiries from customers in the parent company and subsidiaries.
Record and post supplier invoices for our subsidiary, Blueberry College & University AB.
Manage bank payments and receipts.
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for the subsidiary, Blueberry College & University AB.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, intercompany transactions, accruals, and reserves.
Prepare the annual report (in the long term).
Prepare VAT returns, employer declarations, and income tax returns.
Manage the audit process with the auditor for the subsidiary, Blueberry College & University AB.
Support the Head of Accounting in various projects and reporting.
Perform bank reconciliations and liquidity planning.
Record and reconcile payroll.
Handle debt collection for the group.

QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
Experience working in accounting and bookkeeping, preferably in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and tax laws.
Proficiency in using financial systems and software.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
