At Avalanche Studios Group, we are looking for a driven and reliable Accountant. We believe you have excellent accounting skills and a solution oriented mindset to take responsibility from day-to-day bookkeeping to the closing of books for the Swedish legal entities within Avalanche Studios Group.

As accountant, you will be responsible for providing high quality and reconciled and reported monthly- as well as yearly closing of books. You will be part of a Finance team of nine employees and work closely with the Accounting Manager and the CFO.

The Position
The job as Accountant at Avalanche Studios Group comes with a lot of responsibility and a lot of fun. Your to do list includes:

- weekly bank reconciliations and payments
- AR and AP as well as review and posting of employee expenses
- day-to day bookkeeping, invoicing and manual journal entries
- responsibility for monthly- and yearly closing of books including reconciliations and analysis
- VAT and tax filing
- ownership and use of financial systems (Jeeves)
- continuously work to improve and streamline accounting processes
- operate and develop improvement projects within the accounting- and financial system area
- proactively support Avalanche Studio Group’s organization with the accounting processes
- support at time for annual reports and tax declaration
- when necessary, support Business Controllers in analysis at closing, group reporting and audit processes
- support reporting to Egmont/Nordisk Film (Avalanche Studio’s owners)
- work with payment processes and optimize cash flows and actively take part in improving company’s other financial processes

Who are you?
We expect you to have an Accounting degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience of accounting and yearly closing of books. You have strong skills in Swedish GAAP and you are familiar with IFRS. You have good experiences of Swedish VAT and local tax regulations and filing. You have high financial systems skills. You have good Microsoft Excel skills and are fluent in English (English is Avalanche Studios Group language). A suitable background could be from an accounting firm or as responsible for a smaller company’s overall accounting.

To excel in this position we expect you to have solid accounting experience. You are accurate, analytical and would enjoy working in and support an entrepreneurial environment. You have the ability to deliver accurately and timely. You have a strong drive and passion for bookkeeping and accounting systems, take initiatives to make improvements and find new ways of working. You need a can-do attitude and a solution oriented, prestige-less and dedicated mindset. Great if you value responsibility, good team work and straightforward communication too.
