The Opportunity


Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accountant II is a key member of the European accounting team and is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, monthly management reports and assisting with financial statement analysis. The Accountant II will be responsible for the accounting for several of our subsidiaries in Europe which gives a unique possibility to develop experience in different European GAAP.


The Job


Assist with preparation and posting of monthly accrual
General accounting including maintaining the general ledger and chart of accounts and prepare journal entries as required
Accounts payable recording and wire payments.
Assist with the preparation of monthly financials by providing schedules in accordance with the Financial Statement Close Process and timeline
Assist the Director of Finance with the statutory financial statement audits of subsidiary entities in the region
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Prepare monthly and annual account reconciliation
Prepare and file required statutory reports in the region
Support other departments with any accounting issues
Support our payroll specialist when needed

What skills you bring:


3 or more years of experience in an accounting role is required
Experience with SAP is a plus but not required
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Completed college or University Degree with a focus in Business, Accounting or Finance
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize deadlines on an ongoing basis
Strong written and oral communication skills -
Excellent time management skills
