Accountant to international law firm

We are looking for an accountant for one of our clients; an international law firm.
You are employed directly by the firm and this is a project position for 6 months. It is a good opportunity to get the experience of a global law firm.
You will be responsible for the monthly management accounts process working closely with the office management team and global financial management personnel in London and Glasgow, other ad-hoc accounting activities as required.

Your work assignments
Assist with the preparation of:

Monthly Stockholm management accounts and supporting reports, including investigation into variances
Recurring income and activity reporting, including further analyses
Ad hoc analysis and reporting in support of partners and senior management
Annual budgets and forecasting
Year end statutory accounts and audit
Maintain and reconcile various balance sheet accounts
General ledger maintenance, including monthly management accounts adjustments and cost allocations
On-going communication with operations manager and partners to maintain cost control, improve understanding of forthcoming expenditure and to respond to any queries arising from reports distribution
Key point of contact with global financial management team



Your background
Relevant accounting experience, in an international and multi-currency business, preferably within the professional services (ideally legal) sector; involvement with preparation of Y/E statutory accounts
Experience of partnership / LLP accounting advantageous
Computer literate with a good understanding of financial and management information systems and highly numerate
Strong working knowledge of Excel, some experience of working with 3e would be an advantage
A basic understanding of Swedish GAAP and reporting
Tax experience advantageous
Project experience advantageous
Good level of written and spoken English

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, orally or in writing with all levels of stakeholders and staff
Excellent attention to detail 
Good delivery skills
