Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Scania Credit AB provides financial and insurance solutions to customers, dealers and distributors in 2 main regions: Middle East and West Africa. In addition to those Scania Credit AB is running Distributor Financing and Factoring solution to non-captive distributors in different parts of the world.

The Head Office and Market Support centre is based in Södertälje, supporting the local markets with governance, management, strategical development, credit risk function, contract administration and systems. Currently we are in total 50 employees, whereof 30 in Södertälje, managing a financed portfolio of about 190 MEUR of assets. This position is hybrid, which means that we are working approximately 50% from home.

We are now looking for an accountant with an interest in controlling to strengthen up our team, headed by the Finance Manager of Scania Credit AB. Are you the one we are looking for? Then apply today!

The main responsibilities are:


• Being part of the Monthly/Quarterly/Year-end Group reporting closing process
• Day to day accounting, incoming payments, outgoing payments, reinvoicing of cost and reconciliations etc
• Supporting and communication with Back office and the markets
• Analysis of the portfolio
• Assist in both internal and external audit procedures
• Participate in process improvement within and outside the department
• Supporting in all kinds of ad-hoc requirements

The Finance department handles all financial aspects of the company, including financial reporting to local statutory bodies and to Scania Head Office in Sweden, financial- and business control. As a part of the team you will be involved in all of these responsibilities in close cooperation with your colleagues and the Finance Manager.

Your profile
We believe you have experience from hands on accounting and preferably financial controlling. You have a fundamental understanding of the end to end process from accounting transactions to the closing process and preferably you also have experience from a Financial Services company. In this role you will work and report in several different systems so you need to be able to learn and handle this.

Our business is very dynamic so you must be excited by challenges which include operations in growing markets and not be afraid of adapting to changing circumstances. This also means that with a “can-do” attitude and professional approach this role will offer you great opportunities to grow as a finance professional. Moreover, your skills and formal qualification should preferably include:


• A university degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration or similar experience 
• Experience from accounting and/or financial controlling, based on Swedish regulation and IFRS
• Experience in financial group reporting
• Strong analytical and financial skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Professional fluency in English 

It would be beneficial if you have experience from Microsoft Dynamics 365, HFM, Coreview or Power BI. If you think you are the right person with the right profile for this opportunity, we look forward to your application!
