We are recruiting a Scandinavian Accounting Manager to our Finance team! As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for delivery of accurate and reliable monthly and yearly closing and reporting for our Scandinavian countries. You will lead our accounting team and drive the development of the department.

About the position

Our Scandinavian finance department consists of approximately 35 employees who work with accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and business control. You will be responsible for the accounting team with four employees and lead the activities within the accounting area for all Scandinavian countries. You will have regular contact with internal and external stakeholders both in Scandinavia and around the world and have a close collaboration with our HQ in Paris.

As Scandinavian Accounting Manager, your key accountabilities will be:

Accounting

- Manage the accounting process within the Scandinavian countries, in line with GEODIS Group and GEODIS policies and applicable legislations, in order to enable accurate and timely reconciliation and reporting.
- Identify optimization opportunities and implement where possible.
- Perform general accounting.



Financial Reporting and Audits

- Manage data integrity and timely availability of financial information for accounting and enable correct reporting process to Country and Regional management and GEODIS Group as well as external authorities.
- Provide support with internal and external auditing process, prepare and ensure availability of documentation.
- Manage timely and accurate handling of data for accounting.
- Contribute to the annual budget process.



Leadership

- Inspire, develop and engage all direct reports.
- Initiate and execute employee processes according to company policies and procedures.
- Act as an ambassador and live our leadership principles and values.



This is a temporary position due to parental leave, starting in March and approximately 12 months. You will be located at our newly renovated head office in central Gothenburg, close to public transport, shops, and nice lunch restaurants. We offer the opportunity to work from home two days per week, digital induction program, a great atmosphere and much more. You will report to our CFO Scandinavia.

Your profile

We are looking for a leader who acts as an ambassador, with passion for developing and motivating others. To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:

- A university degree within Finance, preferably accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Several years of experience from working with accounting and taxes.
- Professional communications skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in various ERP systems and professional skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Previous leadership experience as well as experience from working in a Scandinavian/ international environment are strong merits.
