About this opportunity:
At Nasdaq, we have several business areas ranging from the Exchange to our Technology Business. This is a great opportunity for you who has an understanding of accounting but would like to partner more closely with the business, where you will gain exposure to different teams and senior collaborators in the organization. You will be part of a close-knit team of many people located across the Nordic and Baltic region.
In this role, you will primarily support the Norwegian and Swedish legal entities from an accounting and tax perspective and will report to and work closely with the Senior Manager of Accounting in Stockholm.

What You Will Do:
Perform and monitor accounting activities during the periodic closing of the general ledger together with maintain accounting policies and controls.
Analyze and reconcile general ledger in connection with preparing reports for the Board of Directors of Nasdaq’s regulated entities
Focus on initiatives related to financial control across related entities in Europe. It will be a combination of recurring accounting activities as well as focusing on initiatives and process improvements.
Working closely with the business and the auditors to complete the annual report process
Assisting the business and other internal partners with various accounting matters
Working closely with the accounting business partners of the various legal entities across Europe
Monthly and quarterly VAT tax returns for entities based in Europe
Cash flow management
What We Expect:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Some years of experience within accounting and tax
Hands-on experience working with general ledgers
Proficient with ERP systems, including Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
Ability to take ownership and initiate and drive discussions
Ability to handle relationships with all stakeholders up to senior management
