We are currently looking to recruit an Accounting & Tax Specialist for our team in Västerås

Purpose of the job
The person we are looking for should have a deep understanding in finance processes, accounting and taxes. The candidate should have experience of complex system set ups and be comfortable with managing a wide range of queries within the accounting and tax area. The role requires a capability to understand, support and address expectations of key stakeholders. Key stakeholders might be Shared Service Center, Group, controlling community, Tax Authorities, internal and external auditors. He/ she should also have strong communication skills to be successful in this position. The role requires a person that is used to deliver on time, driven by making improvements and used to work with both overall issues and details.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE RELATED TO THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF ACTIVITY

Financials & Compliance
- Ensure that Swedish GAAP (K3) is followed
- Ensure reporting in line with IFRS and internal company policies and procedures
- Prepare and/ or validate journal vouchers, authorize reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
- Liaise with auditors
- Actively take part in the work with the Annual reports for the Swedish companies
- Take part in tax related tasks (VAT, income tax, employee related taxes, withholding taxes etc.)
- Take part in deliveries of income tax submissions in the tax tool and tax declarations
Stakeholder management
- Ensure on time deliveries to the various stakeholders, tax authorities, Group, corporate, controllers etc
- Provide support to the stakeholders
- Work proactively with the stakeholders to avoid any process failures
Process execution & improvement
- Monitor service level agreements and actively take part to make improvements
- Actively work to identify, address and execute improvements in processes

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor or Master Degree in the field of Economics
- At least 5 years of experience related to general finance and accounting, taxes
- Experience in auditing company, tax authorities and/ or larger international company is an advantage
- Able to work with high volumes of work and tight deadlines for on-time delivery
- Self-driven towards making improvements
- Fluent in English and Swedish are mandatory
