ACCOUNTS / ADMIN ASSISTANT
Full-time temporary substitute contract to cover staff leave from around 1 May 2010 to 31 Dec 2010
The above vacancy has arisen in the Management section of the British Embassy, Stockholm. The section has a key role in supporting the Embassy to achieve its goals and objectives through financial, personnel, security and purchasing functions.
Job description
- To assist the Embassy Accountant with invoice-entry, cashiering & account-related administrative duties, using an Oracle-based computer system.
- To act as a requisitioner for goods and services.
- Stock control & budget administration.
- General administration duties.
Required skills
- An aptitude for figure-work - preferably with previous accounting / cash-handling experience.
- Excellent planning and co-ordination skills and ability to multi-task. Experience of working in an environment where attention to detail and procedure is important.
- Organisational skills and an ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines - often under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and be flexible to work on a range of tasks.
- A "customer focused", service delivery approach to work.
- Strong IT skills (Word / Excel) - experience of Oracle will be seen as a merit.
- Excellent communication skills - fluent Swedish & English.
