Vacancy announcement – Accounts Clerk
The Embassy of the Republic of Zambia requires the services of an Accounts Clerk on contract basis.
The applicant should have a minimum qualification of a Diploma in Accounting and Finance or any related field of study. The applicant should be conversant with the Swedish Tax Laws and Regulations and the accounting packages; Excel, Pastel, Sun System and IFMIS, as well as a minimum of 5 years experience. The applicant should also be able to write and speak English and Swedish fluently.
A brief job description is outlined below:
a. Preparation of payment vouchers for Embassy bills, salaries and rentals;
b. Preparation of various accounting returns as per required deadlines; These include: monthly revenue collection, Visa returns, Expenditure Returns, Staff Returns, Property Returns, Backing Sheets, Bank Reconciliation and maintaining the Receipt book;
c. Preparation of VAT returns for the Embassy and the Diplomatic staff;
d. Preparation of annual returns such as closing of Accounts, Budget estimates, and
e. Any other assigned duties.
