The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy invites you to join our Swedish Common Shared Service Finance team! We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist (AP Specialist) to be based in Västerås, where you will play a key role in the Finance Front Office for Sweden and Denmark. Our Accounts Payable (AP) and Account Receivable (AR) team focuses on cash collection and assists local business partners with their AP/AR tasks. With our shared expertise, we aim to cultivate a collaborative and trustworthy environment with other functions and local business units.
As part of our strategy for growth, Hitachi Energy has recently enhanced our core ERP systems by implementing SAP S/4HANA. We are working on standardizing our IT application landscape and digitizing our business processes to support our expanding business needs. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about contributing to this transformative journey.
As an AP Specialist, you will be a key player in working with our business partners to ensure that tasks are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant standards. We are looking for a wide range of individuals to join our team, and we are open to adapting your responsibilities to fit your interests, while still following global regulations.
How you'll make an impact
You will collaborate with local business partners AP and Global Travel Services
Building relationships with factories and Supply Chain Management
You will lead and drive country relevant improvements related to AP processes.
Train and onboard relevant AP topics for processes, applications and ERP in the country.
Assist the HR team in implementing the Travel/AMEX policy within the country while providing backup for accounts receivable tasks to support the team.

Your background
You hold a bachelor's or master’s degree or similar.
Prior work experience with AP/AR ideally working in a multinational environment with different interfaces.
Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel is preferred.
Proficient in organizational and coordination skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Having a strong understanding of financial accounting, reporting and internal control is a plus
Fluent in both swedish and English, written and spoken, is required.
