Accurate and experienced Editor to scientific EU Agency

Job description
Perido is now looking for an Editor for our client, an independent and important agency of the European Union. The position is placed at their office nicely located just outside of Stockholm city.
As an Editor, you will be involved in tasks such as:
Edit and proof-read scientific publications
Perform editorial tasks in collaboration with your colleagues
Implement consistent formatting and layout of texts in preparation for publication
Write short texts, such as publications abstracts

We believe that the right person for this job is accurate and have experience in editing and writing texts in English. You have a great commitment in reading and reviewing material thoroughly and you have an eye for details. In addition, your ability to organize your work and perform under pressure is excellent. You strive to keep a constant communication with your colleagues to achieve efficiency, even with short deadlines. We also believe that you are service oriented and enjoy working in a team.

Required qualifications:
Relevant education at university level
Work experience within content editing and proof reading in English
Good knowledge in formatting texts in MS Office and graphs and tables in Excel
Project and time management skills
Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written

Meritorious:
Experience in editing in the medical, public health or other scientific field
Knowledge of the publishing process
Experience with desktop publishing software (such as InDesign)

Contract type and hours
Full time assignment. Start as soon as possible, 3 months duration with possible extension.
