Acoustic Engineer

We are now looking for an Experienced Acoustic Engineer to join our Camera Product Development Unit at Axis HQ in Lund, Sweden.

Who is your future team
You will be a key person in our product-audio team with a mix of HW and SW audio engineers - and acoustical engineers. The team acts as an audio-competence hub and delivers world class audio and acoustic solutions to a major part of all new network cameras at Axis.

The role:
With each new generation of our network cameras, we are upgrading our camera sensors and all the rest of the system solutions towards breathtaking performances. We are constantly adding new core technologies like radar and audio. Audio, in association with AI & deep learning, acts beyond sound quality and is providing critical metadata to new data driven capabilities in our camera systems.

In the product development team, you will guide and make the design of world leading acoustical solutions in our new camera project.

What you will do
You will work with conceptual design but also follow the projects all the way to volume production. You will simulate and make the acoustical design and you will verify and validate the solution. You take part in cross functional project teams with other competence categories like software, mechanics, and product management. You will collaborate with many camera teams in the company as well the core technology departments. Externally, you will work with suppliers and our EMS partners (production) together with our operation organization. Now and then you will also meet our customers.

You are passionate about acoustic design, and you possess a relevant university degree in the subject. Preferably, you have years of experience in acoustical engineering.
