Acoustic engineer to Siemens Energy in Finspång

We now hire an acoustic engineer for an assignment at Siemens Energy, you will measure on, develop and maintain standard and prototype installations both in workshop and in the field and make sure that they fulfill existing standards and delivery criteria. Responsibilities
You will be part of a diverse R&D group consisting of highly skilled engineers who are responsible for designing and validating new rotating & stationary components and improvements for existing products in all crucial parts of a gas turbine. In this, you will be able to contribute to the design and validation of robust, reliable and highly efficient products. 


As a Acoustics Engineer, you will measure on, develop and maintain standard and prototype installations both in our workshop and in the field and make sure that they fulfill existing standards and delivery criteria. 


You will also work with improvement of existing products, support other functions like Procurement and Manufacturing both internal and external. Teamcenter and SAP will be common tools in your daily work besides practical elements linked to measurement electronics. 


Your multi-disciplinary collaborations will include R&D disciplines like Aerodynamics, Solid mechanics, Blade & Rotor Dynamics, Materials, Production and the Service department. 


On top of that, as part of a global organization, you will have the opportunity to build a network that expands across the world, from Europe to North America and Asia. 

Working hours
This is a fulltime consultant assignment and majority of time will hopefully be done on site at our client’s office in Finspång. Remote work is applied until further notice due to current Covid-19 restrictions. Assignment will start as soon as possible after agreement and goes on approximately 10 months with good chances for extension. 

Qualifications
We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude and a problem-solving mindset who can express yourself well in speech and writing in English. 


It’s required that you have an engineering degree – preferably within acoustics engineering. 


Meritorious: 
swedish language skills 
experience of advanced measurement chains, from transducer to measurement system 
some practical measurement experience (analog measuring circuits)
