We see a global trend that there is an increased focus on the audible noise generated by the equipment in our installations. Therefore, we now want to strengthen the team and are looking for you that have a previous experience in audible noise calculations from industrial installations or substations.
You will be part of our electro-mechanical engineering team and we can offer you to work on a global market with frequent contact with customers and suppliers. You will have continuous contact with other engineering groups, project managers and civil designers to optimize our solutions with respect to audible noise. The audible noise responsibility can be combined with other tasks. Therefore, previous experience in electro-mechanical Design, HVAC design, Seismic design are qualifying for this role.

Your responsibilities
Lead the work related to noise such as noise propagation calculations and sound measurements in our tenders and projects. Which may include:
- Define sound requirements on components and propose sound mitigating actions on or close to components, if required. Very often in collaboration with the suppliers.
- Involved in optimization of the site layout to ensure that sound requirements from our customers are fulfilled.
Maintain and improve the process for how we work with audible noise.
Perform noise and acoustic calculations based on customer requirements and standards.
Perform sound measurements at our installations to verify compliance with audible noise requirements.
Perform mechanical calculations and write Technical Reports (HVAC-calculations, Seismic Calculations, structural, magnetic field, lightning etc).
Your background
You have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical (Power systems) or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience with calculation tools, e.g. SoundPLAN or other calculation tools for industrial audible noise is required.
Good knowledge in primary materials such as steel structures, clamps, fittings, insulators, conductors and installation accessories.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken alike and preferable good knowledge in Swedish, both written and spoken alike.
