The Internal and Corporate Communication team is responsible for Sandvik Materials Technology's communication on a global level. The function sets guidelines, develops tools and supports the business area management team, product areas and sales units in matters regarding internal and corporate communication, media relations and PR as well as crisis communication. Since our current manager will be on parental leave, we are looking for an Acting Manager for Internal and Corporate Communication who wants to lead and be a part of a dynamic team for up to 18 months or according to agreement. The location for this position is Sandviken and the starting date would preferably be in August 2014.
Key performance areas
As Acting Manager of Internal and Corporate Communication you will be responsible for Sandvik Materials Technology's internal and corporate communication. You are responsible for ensuring that the communication supports the company's business strategy and goals, vision and core values, and creates a good understanding of prioritized change initiatives and the current business situation. Your primary target groups and key stakeholders are employees within Sandvik Materials Technology, media and the capital market. The position includes staff responsibility, including budgeting and personnel development.
You will be part of Sandvik Materials Technology's Communication management team and report to the Vice President and Head of Strategy and Communication.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Communication or Journalism and at least five years' experience within the communication area - or similar. You have good business understanding and are experienced in internal and management communications in a global environment. You have good knowledge and an understanding of different communication processes and methods, and have previously worked with communication planning. Personnel management experience is required, as well as excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
You are a skilled communicator with good interpersonal skills and the ability to cooperate with many different target audiences, both internally and externally. Sometimes you will act as a moderator at different management meetings or conferences. The position as Acting Manager places demands on your leadership skills. You are a role model and easily create a trusting environment for collaboration, while inspiring and coaching your co-workers. You are also interested in continually developing both the business and your co-workers and have the ability to implement changes when required.
