AD Engineer

Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. We are now looking for an AD Engineer that will join our journey ahead.

What you´ll do
As an AD Engineer within PS Drive you have a wide coverage of tasks. As we are a small number of engineers who dedicate into AD you need to be flexible and be prepared to take-on all kind of tasks in the area of AD. E.g. projects within Advance Engineering and cooperation’s with start-ups.

Since your day will differ also you must enjoy flexibility in combination of new tech. You will belong to a team who have different disciplines and have the task to support the rest of the org with competence in you specific area. AD providers / suppliers, work with them both tech, commercial and contractual.

Your responsibilities will be:

- Run Advance Engineering projects
- Keep track or AD tech
- Screen Competitors
- Visit AD providers
- Give input to choose of AD system
- AD spokesperson (internal and external)

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

- Master of Science or Bachelor of science in engineering
- Automotive electrical architecture, including both
- De-centralized (compute distributed over several ECUs)
- Centralized (central computer)


- ECUs and sensors
- Network technologies (CAN, Flexray, LIN, Ethernet)
- ISO26262 - System Safety
- SW architecture (the different SW layers and the structure)
- Domain knowledge within
- AD
- ADAS


- SAE levels L0-L5
- Good knowledge of ADAS systems
- Previous exp in AD development
