The Project Support & Administration Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Material Master Administrator.
Description of main responsibilities
As a Material Master Administrator, you will be collaborating in the development of the ESS strategy for material master management. You will also be responsible of ensuring the effective, efficient and accurate creation of new material codes and maintenance of the Material Master on the Agresso ERP system, in accordance with ESS procedures and guidelines.
Your tasks will include the following:
To support start-up of the material master
To support developing manuals, guidelines, procedures
To support delivering training
To support defining information processes
To support identifying system interfaces (MRO-PLM-ERP)
To engage with technical colleagues in order to develop suitable solutions
To support developing and implementing new tools around ERP
To ensure that all material IDs are created according to the required standards
To ensure that material IDs are amended and up to date all the time
To ensure that correct technical advise is provided to the procurement and logistics functions before activating such IDs
To ensure that required documentation is prepared and forwarded to the relevant stakeholders at the right time
To ensure reliability of metadata in the database
To ensure that problems are identified and resolved
Qualifications
1 year experience with material master management in ERP-PLM-MRO environments
Advantageous: engineering and business intelligence studies/courses
Experience of working in an international environment is essential.
Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage.

The European Spallation Source ERIC will design, build and operate a multi-disciplinary, large-scale research infrastructure based on the world’s most powerful neutron source. European Spallation Source, ESS, will provide scientists with unique and powerful neutron scattering instruments for the study of a large range of materials – from polymers and pharmaceuticals to membranes and molecules. ESS project is partnered by 17 European countries, and hosted by Sweden and Denmark. ESS will be built in Lund, Sweden, by a collaboration of European scientists and engineers.
