Your role

We are now recruiting to an exciting position in Aeronautics, and have the opportunity to offer a position as Additive Manufacturing Engineer Polymers. You will be an important part of Aeronautices Centre for Additive Manufacturing, and join our growth for future capabilities and industrial adaptation. Together we support and enable the development and delivery of our Business Units. You will be organized directly under the Head of Aeronautics Centre for Additive Manufacturing.

You will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate Additive Manufacturing solutions for our Special Mission and Regional Aircraft business. Driving AM cases from idea to finished product.

Responsibilities include:

* Lead AM cases for SMRA

* Participate in AM projects and initiatives
* Be a driver of AM cases for polymer applications, from idea to finished approved part
* Collaborate with suppliers and collegues to ensure delivery
* Participate in the work to EASA Part 21 certify the production of additive manufactured items

* Contribute to Aeronautics Centre for Additive Manufacturing

* Participate in our work for future capabilities, including certification of production
* Participate in SAAB common projects and share best practice
* Collaborate in the development on AM strategies and roadmaps

You will have the opportunity to develop a role and a function and network over the whole of Aeronautics, as well as collaborate with other Business Areas within SAAB.

Your profile

You have experience from Additive Manufacturing, working with polymer applications in AM. You have an academic background, or a strong experience in AM. You have experience from design software and other AM software, and can evalutate different solutions to implement an AM solution.

You have excellent communication skills and a natural networker, being able to explain the complex in a simple way. A hands-on approach and willing to contribute beyond your primary responsibilities is a requirement.

Experience from contact with suppliers and customers, and the aerospace industry is a merit. Understanding of a POA/DOA arrangement under an EASA/FAA regulation is a merit

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
