We are now looking for an ADME Scientist for a 12 months assignment starting as soon as possible. This temporary role as laboratory based ADME (Absorption, Drug Metabolism and Excretion) scientist will be responsible for delivering right quality in vitro ADME experimental design, data, and interpretation to support decision making in projects from target selection to registration and LCM (Life Cycle Management).



An important aspect of the role is the interactive and effective communication with the DMPK (Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics) Design Leader, the DMPK Project Leader and other project team members, to understand project needs and to provide, with help from other ADME experts, clear guidance on areas related to ADME experimentation and data interpretation.



Major Responsibilities

. Accountable for conducting and timely delivery of in-vitro ADME experiments and data to projects
. Responsible for design, conduct, interpretation and reporting of a broad range of non-routine ADME studies, while driving for and taking into account the input and views of others, including senior ADME expertise, the DMPK Design Leader and the DMPK Project Leader.
. Contribution to and maintaining of high scientific standards and assisting in the development of the ADME discipline to meet future demands
. Work independently and with flexibility to meet business needs
. Maintain awareness of current ADME developments in the literature and apply as appropriate to business needs
. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying improvement opportunities in the workplace
. Contribute to internal and/or external presentations and publications as appropriate.
. To participate in and contribute to inhouse ADME scientific forums as appropriate. 


Minimum Requirements

. PhD or equivalent experience in ADME related scientific discipline
. Proficient in enzyme and transporter kinetic studies, and in conducting hepatocyte and other cell based assays
. Experienced in bioanalytical techniques, eg LC-MSMS
. Track record in driving or contributing to innovative experimental design of non-routine ADME in vitro studies to answer specific drug discovery or development questions
. Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus
. Track record in meeting timelines to pre-specified quality and cost
