MG Sustainable Engineering AB is a young dynamic start-up company based in Uppsala and has strategic partnerships with the Universities of Gävle, Uppsala, Lund, and Absolicon Solar Collector AB in Härnösand, Lumicum Foundation, and few other companies and institutions across EU.
MG was launched in 2014, initially with a low level of activities. In 2018, MG started its first major project, RES4Build (www.res4build.eu), in which renewable solutions for buildings in the EU are studied. The RES4Build is a 5 million € H2020 project. MG has also received funding for RES4Live (www.res4live.eu). This project has a 6 million € budget under the H2020 Innovation Action (IA) and MG is one of 18 participants studying renewable energy solutions for livestock farms in the EU. Overall, MG has experience managing various projects valued at over 25 million € from different funding sources.
The objective of the role is to support MG’s communication, HR, and administrative activities as well as support MG´s participation in large complex projects involving many partners. It is essential that the candidate develops and supports the organizational structure of MG as well as a strategy for the upcoming challenges with more inherent of the extra projects. Also, the candidate will handle public relations activities to uplift the company’s brand image within the renewable energy sector.
Job Description:
The candidate needs to be organized and able to handle internal and external business communication activities for MG’s different accounts/ projects/ partners and funding agencies.
Plan, develop and implement communication strategies and handle social media, web, and digital platforms (i.e LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Website etc.).
It is essential to perform administrative activities for MG’s different accounts/ projects and funding opportunities and day-to-day office management activities.
The candidate needs to be able to develop different plans and strategies for organizational growth.
Provide support to the internal team to implement projects and to achieve organizational objectives and goals.
Manage interns and new employees onboarding and provide guidelines to adapt the organizational culture and activities.
Participate and provide support in writing grant applications for different projects and funding opportunities.
Handle the relation with our partner Base10
Educational Background:
A business background is required. An MBA in Business Management/Marketing is a plus.
Other merits that are valuable:
1. Business Development, Marketing, and larger account management experience.
2. Experience working in a renewable energy company/ organization is merit.
3. Experience in writing Horizon Europe grant applications is merit.
4. Experience working with the technical team and project management is highly valued.
5. Graphic design, website development, social media, and digital marketing skills are preferred.
6. English will be the working language of the project. Swedish is a plus but not essential. Other foreign languages are also a plus.
Training:
Having Organizational Leadership training is a plus
