Our Exciting Opportunity
Cloud native application design is set to become a standard practice in the telecom industry due to the major efficiency gains it can provide, particularly in terms of speeding up software upgrades and releases.
We are now looking for an Observability Implementation Architect to design Observability Generic Services following the cloud native principles!
You will be part of the Product Development Unit (PDU) “Component Development” within the Business Area Digital Services. The organization is a cornerstone of the Ericsson platforms and common assets' strategy, developing components, products and microservices used by 5G applications across Ericsson.
As an Implementation Architect, you will lead all the aspects of implementation architecture for observability services across Performance Management and Distributed Trace working with our Agile Development Teams in Stockholm, Architecture Team and Product Managers. The services are part of Application Development Platform (ADP) program focusing on cloud native.
You will report to the Line Manager - PDU Component Development.
You will
Drive and contribute to the architecture studies and prototypes for the observability services portfolio, considering the whole product development lifecycle
Define the implementation requirements and secure feature scope together with the stake-holders and product management
Drive technical discussions with other technical leaders, engineers for decision making and definition of implementation strategies
Populate the engineering requirements in the teams backlog together with the Product Owner
Interface, collaborate and follow up with internal stake-holders, third-party vendors and teams to define the technical scope and understand the priority of development activities
Lead, coordinate and work together with the agile cross-functional development teams during prototype execution and implementation phase of new features and/or services
Lead by example and contribute to the organization's technical vision and mission along with the other leaders
Understand CI/CD operations of the products and lab environment to identify potential efficiencies or improvements that can fast forward development activities

To be successful in the role you must have
5+ years of Telco industry experience
MSc Computer Engineering/Computer Science or relevant field
Demonstrate experience in designing and developing cloud native software, preferably at a technical leadership capacity
Excellent knowledge on container/cloud native technologies including Kubernetes and Helm
Solid knowledge in Observability including Prometheus, non sql db knowledge (Minio, Time series DB, ElasticSearch), Jaeger and 3GPP standards in the area
Programming languages such as Golang, Python and/or Java
Product architecture and development knowledge as well as Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
Knowledge and experience in 5G
Skilled at requirements clarification, driving effective/efficient ways of working, and delivering complex projects on time with high quality
Highly motivated with excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Excellent English communication skills (both in written and verbal)

Additional requirements
Understanding in measuring footprint impact and performance to optimize resource usage is a plus
