Job Summary:
Cloud-native application design is set to become standard practice in the telecom industry due to the major efficiency gains it can provide, particularly in terms of speeding up software upgrades and releases. We are now looking for a Software Developer to develop container Kubernetes microservices (generic services) following the cloud native principles.
You will be part of the Product Development Unit “Component Development” within the Business Area Digital Services. The organization is a cornerstone of the Ericsson platforms and common assets strategy, developing components, products and microservices used by 5G applications across Ericsson. The Generic Services Unit is part of “Component Development” organization with operations in Sweden and Finland, and with a portfolio of more than 20 microservices for 5G. As a software developer you will be part of one of our agile teams in Stockholm and you will have the opportunity be exposed to a truly global experience, working with experienced engineers on cloud native, opensource, Kubernetes and microservices development.

Job Responsibilities:
Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We organize in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work. Your role will include service software development along with a variety of other activities by being part of an agile development team:
Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling from early phases to delivery
Develop, test and document new features as part of the service development backlog activities
Handle CI/CD operations for the product
Perform troubleshooting and customer support
Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
Key Qualifications:
MSc Computer Engineering/Computer Science or relevant field
Solid product development experience
Solid experience on Linux and container/cloud native technologies.
Excellent English communication skills (both in written and verbal)
Trouble shooting competence is expected based on deep understanding in product
Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
Programming languages such as Golang, Python and/or Java
Innovating, adapting and responding to change
Preference on knowledge/experience in Kubernetes
Preference on knowledge/experience in 5G
