Advanced Development Buyer to Autoliv

To support Autoliv’s mission for Innovation and development of Mobility Safety Solutions, Autoliv has established a new Supply Chain Management organization connected to the Global Innovation Center in Sweden. The global supply chain organization is responsible for purchasing and supplier quality activities in early product development and application projects for new business areas and markets. Furthermore, the organization provides logistics competence in early development phases and drives global process development for advanced supply chain activities to capture expanded opportunities for innovation.



About the assignment
As Advanced Buyer for the Mobility Safety area you are responsible for identifying and managing key suppliers for effective collaborations in our development process, to achieve an increased level of innovation and design optimized for quality and cost. You will focus on new functions or components that represent a technology challenge or high innovation level.

Your main responsibilities as Advanced Buyer:
- Responsible Buyer in feasibility studies and advanced development projects for the mobility safety area.
- Identify key suppliers and external collaborations for new technologies on product, processes and material.
- Together with supplier and partners identify ideas and opportunities for innovations.
- Drive early involvement and collaboration with suppliers in the product development process, and actively contribute in the concept development phases.
- Manage sourcing and tooling activities in both global and regional projects for first market launches of new products.
- Coordinate the supply chain project activities.


In your assignment as Advanced Buyer you belong to a supply chain team located in Vårgårda, Sweden. You will be working in a global context and report to Global Supply Chain Innovation Manager, connected to the Global Supply Chain Development organization in Autoliv.

Travels will be required on demand.

About you
To succeed in the position as Advanced Buyer, we believe that you have a maturity in your purchasing role with experience from direct purchasing. You are confident in yourself as well as in your profession, experience and competence.

A strong business mindset and a good ability to lead and coordinate tasks are important qualities. As Buyer you need to collaborate well with others, both in project contexts and with other functions globally within the supply chain organization.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or other related area
- Minimum 5-10 years of working experience
- Experience from the purchasing and supply chain area
- Experience from working with innovation and product development
- Good technical knowledge
- Contract management competencies
- Good ability to analyze costs
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English, in speaking and writing

Meritorious:
- Master’s degree
- Fluent in Swedish, in speaking and writing
