The section Fuel System has the responsibility for the Fuel System as well as the AdBlue System. The main purposes of the Fuel System include filling and storing fuel corresponding to a specific driving range and providing the engine with fuel of correct flow and pressure. The AdBlue responsibility includes filling, storing and distribution of AdBlue liquid used for the exhaust after-treatment SCR system (Selective Catalytic Reduction). The components in the AdBlue system are similar to those used in the fuel system, but with other challenges such as thawing frozen AdBlue liquid. In the Fuel System section there are about 60 employees within four groups: Distribution, EVAP System & Lines, Storage and System Development.

As Advanced Engineering Leader you will belong to the System Development group and lead the whole innovation process for the Fuel System section, from idea generation to reporting of accomplished tasks. You will also perform some of the tasks yourself. The challenge is to develop fuel systems that improve our competitiveness and at the same time meet Volvo's high requirements for safety and efficiency as well as legal requirements. The group consists of 17 persons including design leader, project leader, analysis engineer, legal analyst and evaporative emissions attribute leader.

Main responsibilities

* Lead the section's innovation process
* You will deliver, document and also perform some of the section's Advanced Engineering tasks
* Report to both management and project teams
* Monitor other sections' Advanced Engineering tasks to determine if the Fuel System is affected
* Establish contact with external partners for potential joint tasks
* Challenge existing Fuel and AdBlue system solutions
* Identify potential work topics for B.Sc or M.Sc essay
* Assure that patents for new innovations are applied for

Required qualifications

* B.Sc Technical education or equivalent
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken
* Experience from development processes
* Swedish driver license
