Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is part of Stoneridge Electronics Operations Organization.

You will work closely with both production plants and global teams. Externally your main contacts are various equipment suppliers and our customer launch organizations. The role will require travel primeraly within European Union. You will report to EU Chief Manufacturing Engineer.

Job description

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading along with creation and ownership of Global Bill of Process (BOP) for assigned products Final Assembly and PCBA preparation processes with global launch support in coordination with regions. The tasks are to develop, manage and implement Final Assembly and PCBA preparation processes for manufacturing site locations in Örebro –and includes gap analysis to BOP documents to improve safety, quality and costs.

You will ensure world class manufacturing systems, to support customers specifications and required capacity and quality to establish efficient, cost-effective processes for ease of manufacture and reproducibility.

Establish a Culture of Leaders as Teachers & Trainers - Educates and trains team members as to their impact in supporting Upper Quartile SRI Performance.

You will for example;


• Be a partner with top global Final Assembly and PCBA preparation process equipment suppliers and internal procurement design and implement benchmark Lean Six Sigma processes in order to develop wold class manufacturing lines
• Benchmark and support new manufacturing processes required to support new technologies.
• Support continuous improvement manufacturing engineering activities to achieve and exceed quality targets
• Support the product and machine transitions between Stoneridge locations globally
• Design, implement and document standard work for benchmark process, process improvement, testing and inspection

Who you are

To be successful in this role, we believe that you are an experienced manufacturing engineer
in the automotive space, ideally at the Tier 1 level with complex processes. You also have hands-on experience in the areas of implementing lean processes/tools in comparable processes and demonstrated accomplishments in project management and process improvement initiatives.

As a person you are structured, organized with project management skills. You have expert level knowledge of specifing manufacturing equipment, creating validation plan and execution. A good communicator with a open mind and a responsive to others.

Moreover, we see that you have:


• A Bachelor’s degree in technical engineering
• 5+ years’ manufacturing or manufacturing engineering experience in the automotive space
• Demonstrated track record of success with developing manufacturing processes.
• Good communication skills
• Prior experience with small parts manufacture
• Excellent language skills (spoken and written) in English
• Global mindset and experience from working within an international setting
