Advanced Process Control Engineer

Borealis is a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions. We are now looking for a talented engineer to strengthen our development team in Stenungsund, Sweden. You will be part of a team with the mission to develop the performance of the plant through Advanced Process Control and Optimization: Olefin production You will be one of the technical specialists with the responsibility to develop and improve the Advanced Process Control and Optimisation applications of the existing olefin plant in Stenungsund, Sweden. There will also be possibilities to give support to our olefin production plants in Finland and Belgium as part of our European wide organisation. Contribution -Responsible for development and maintenance of the Advanced Process Control and Optimisation applications at the olefin plant. -Improve the efficiency and process safety of the olefin plant complex. -Assist in benefit studies and preparing project proposals in the area of Process Control and Optimisation. -Be responsible for maintenance and development of the Operators User Interface. -Follow the development in Process Control Technology for implementation at the plant. -Be active in information sharing in order to boost team performance -Contribute to overall HSE&Q performance keeping high HSE&Q standards. Knowledge and Skills -Master of Science or equivalent in Chemical Engineering -2-5 years of experience from Process industry, Technical Development and/or Operation. -Genuine interest in the area of Process Control and Optimization. -Experience of Process Simulation, steady-state/dynamic is a plus. -Experience of Honeywell DCS and/or Aspentech DMC Technology is a plus. -Excellent problem solving ability, dealing with complex solutions. -Fluent in English -Ability to build a broad contact network inside Borealis and outside -Ability to work in multi-cultural and cross-functional teams.
