Adviser – Wind Resource Analyst

Kjeller Vindteknikk has more than 20 years of experience working with wind energy and is one of the leading consultancy companies in wind power and wind engineering in the Nordics.
We are a science based consultancy that is passionate about wind, be it to power a wind turbine or the flow past a bridge and we continuously develop our knowledge and expertise by leading and participating in a number of research projects, finding new innovative solutions, with the aim of working towards a more sustainable future.
We deliver demanding climate and wind analysis solutions for wind energy and other infrastructure sectors. We deliver turn-key advanced measurement system campaigns for wind energy, power lines and major bridge and other construction projects. We currently have offices in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. We are part of the Norconsult Group, which is Norway’s largest consultancy company and one of the leading multidisciplinary consultancy firms in the Nordic region.
Your tasks could involve, but are not limited to:
Wind analysis and wind flow modelling.
Energy Yield Assessments for wind farms using both linear and CFD models.
Calculation of ice losses and ice risk analysis for wind farms.
Post production assessments of icing and wind farm production.
Setting up forecasting system for operational wind farms
Supporting our customers as a technical advisor and customer contact.
Research and development of new tools & methodology

We are looking for a team member with the following experience, and attributes:
MSc or PhD within physics, meteorology, mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, statistics, energy or similar.
Experience from the wind energy sector is a merit. Project developers, turbine manufacturer or consultancy service providers.
Excellent analytical skills and structured approach to solving task.
Good computer skills and programming experience is a merit.
Good communication skills.
Eager to understand the needs of our customers in order to continuously improve our services

Preferred location is at our office in central Stockholm, but other locations in Sweden may be considered for the right candidate.
Some travelling may be included.
